Cookies and your choices
Last updated: October 11, 2026
Cookies are small pieces of information saved in your browser. Some support features you request; optional analytics help us understand how the website is used. You control whether optional analytics load.
Essential cookies
These cookies support sign-in, the vote you request, protection against forged form submissions and remembering your privacy choice. They do not depend on analytics consent.
Security providers
Google reCAPTCHA runs when you send a protected form or complete a protected action, rather than on every visit. It may set _GRECAPTCHA, which Google describes as necessary for its risk analysis, and process your IP address, browser information and interaction signals. Its expiry is set by Google and can be inspected in your browser's site data settings.
Cloudflare Turnstile runs on the final vote verification step. Turnstile does not normally use cookies, but an enabled clearance feature can set cf_clearance. A website served through Cloudflare may also use security or routing cookies such as __cf_bm, _cfuvid, __cflb and cf_chl_rc_*. Their presence and lifetime depend on the deployed Cloudflare settings; they are preserved when you withdraw analytics consent.
These checks protect requested features against abuse and are separate from analytics. Read Google's privacy policy, reCAPTCHA's cookie information and Cloudflare's cookie information.
Optional analytics
Google Tag Manager is supplied by Google and loads only after you select Accept analytics or enable Analytics and save your preferences. Before acceptance, and after rejection, the website does not load the GTM script or its fallback iframe. Advertising storage, advertising data use and ad personalization consent remain denied.
After analytics consent, Google Tag Manager loads Google Analytics 4 to help us understand website use. Analytics can process visited pages, interactions, approximate location derived from your IP address and device/browser information. Its usual first-party cookies are _ga and _ga_*, which can last up to two years depending on configuration. These are optional cookies and are removed on withdrawal where accessible.
We must update this policy and ask for a new choice before introducing a new optional purpose or provider. You can use the website without accepting analytics. Google's handling of data is described in its privacy policy.
Changing or withdrawing consent
Use Cookie settings in the footer or the controls on this page at any time. Acceptance and rejection are remembered for the same 180-day period. When this choice expires or the consent policy version changes, optional analytics are blocked until you make another choice.
Withdrawal records rejection, removes accessible non-essential cookies on the website's host and matching parent domains, and clears known Google tracking keys in local and session storage. A server request also expires non-essential cookies it receives, including HttpOnly cookies that JavaScript cannot read. The page reloads to stop analytics code already running. Other open tabs of this website check the updated choice.
Essential sign-in, guest voting, form protection and security cookies remain. Unrelated browser storage is preserved. Browser rules prevent this website from deleting cookies on Google or other third-party domains, cookies on unrelated paths or partitions it cannot access, or data already received by a provider. You can remove additional site data in your browser settings and request erasure using the contact below. Withdrawal does not undo processing that was lawful before withdrawal and does not delete your account.
